Between Savannah and Ocean

Day 1 Beira – Gorongosa National Park Arrival and connecting flight to Gorongosa National Park. Depending on the schedule, you may already enjoy your first safari. Overnight at Chicari Camp or similar.

Days 2–5 Gorongosa National Park The park is renowned for its successful reforestation and conservation projects, which have restored wildlife populations after periods of conflict. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Gorongosa National Park and enjoy unforgettable adventures in the heart of unspoilt nature. Take the opportunity to observe the park's rich wildlife up close. Various activities, such as game drives in an open off-road vehicle or bush walks, bring you closer to the wild animals. With a bit of luck, you may see elephants, lions, leopards or giraffes in their natural habitat. The park is also home to a wide variety of birds, including many endemic species. Boat or canoe trips (depending on the season) offer you a unique view of the park's ecosystem. Enjoy the peace and beauty of the landscape as you glide almost silently along the river. After a day full of discoveries, you relax in welcoming accommodation that combines closeness to nature with excellent comfort. Overnight at Chicari Camp (3 nights) or similar and Muzimi Lodge (2 nights) or similar.

Day 6 Vilanculos From the national park, you fly via Beira to Vilanculos. Depending on your choice of accommodation, you stay on the mainland or board a helicopter to Benguerra Island. Overnight at Bahia Mar (Standard) or Azura Benguerra (Superior) or similar.

Days 7–10 Vilanculos After your thrilling adventures in Gorongosa National Park, it is time to relax on paradise beaches. Enjoy the warm rays of the sun, the gentle lapping of the waves and the fine sand beneath your feet. Whether swimming in crystal-clear water, snorkelling over the reefs or simply relaxing by the ocean – here you can recharge your batteries and let your mind wander. If you choose to stay at Azura Benguerra, several excursions and activities are included, such as a sunset trip on a traditional dhow or a tour of the island. Overnight at Bahia Mar (Standard) or Azura Benguerra (Superior) or similar.

Day 11 Vilanculos Transfer to Vilanculos airport. End of the trip or individual extension.
