Day 1 Hervey Bay – K'gari (Fraser Island) After being picked up in Hervey Bay and a coach ride to River Heads, you take the ferry to K'gari (Fraser Island), the largest sand island in the world. Your guide, a passionate K'gari expert, will introduce you to this fascinating region, sharing their knowledge of the flora, fauna, history and many other captivating aspects of the island. Your adventure continues by 4x4 on sand tracks, through endemic forests and along magnificent beaches. During the tour you discover the island's natural beauty and its varied wildlife, including dingoes, birds of prey and, between July and October, whales. The iconic wreck of the Maheno and the views across the island offer unique photo opportunities. Take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of Lake McKenzie or the legendary ‘Champagne Pools’.

Day 2 K'gari (Fraser Island) – Hervey Bay Today you experience the vastness of 75 Mile Beach and, on your visit to the Pinnacles, you will be amazed by their 72 different hues while learning more about the Aboriginal Dreamtime. You walk through the rainforest, surrounded by towering palms and centuries-old trees. On K'gari you can see huge king ferns, lush eucalyptus trees and many other native plants and trees. At the eastern tip of the island, at Indian Head, turtles, whales, rays and other marine creatures are frequently sighted. In the late afternoon you take the ferry back to the mainland, where a coach is waiting for the return journey to Hervey Bay.
