Pilbarra and West Coast Wonders

Day 1 Perth Almost two weeks of adventure await you, starting with a tour of Perth with your guide. This vibrant capital is home to fascinating art galleries and the vast Kings Park & Botanic Garden. Two thirds of the park are dedicated to native plants surrounding the Anzac memorial. This evening, meet your group for a welcome dinner.
Day 2 Perth – Geraldton Two wild wonders open this journey of contrasts. In Yanchep National Park you immerse yourself in Aboriginal culture. Then it's on to Nambung National Park, where you see the Pinnacles, limestone remnants formed 30 000 years ago. Finally, in Geraldton, pay tribute to the sailors lost in the Second World War at the HMAS Sydney Memorial.
Day 3 Geraldton – Monkey Mia On arrival at Kalbarri National Park, enjoy spectacular views of the Murchison River Gorge from the Kalbarri Skywalk. If you are travelling during the wildflower season, expect to see acacias, banksias and caladenias in full bloom. And just when you think the scenery cannot get any more impressive, you arrive in Monkey Mia.
Day 4 Monkey Mia Every morning, wild dolphins come close to the shore, where the rangers explain their feeding habits. You watch these famous dolphins come up to the beach (note: their presence is not guaranteed, as they are wild animals). The rest of the day is free. You can choose to admire Shark Bay on a scenic flight (at extra cost).
Day 5 Monkey Mia – Carnarvon Today you discover Hamelin Pool, home to the world's largest colony of stromatolites, World Heritage-listed Shark Bay and Shell Beach, a beach made up of billions of shells. Continuing on, you visit the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum, an interactive museum about space.
Day 6 Carnarvon – Exmouth Aboard a glass-bottom boat at Coral Bay, get up close to turtles, colourful corals and a myriad of fish on Ningaloo Reef, a World Heritage-listed site and a refuge for marine life, notably whale sharks, the largest fish in the world (March to August).
Day 7 Exmouth Go snorkelling on Ningaloo Reef, where you may encounter whale sharks and humpback whales. A fascinating spectacle not to be missed. If you prefer to stay dry, opt for a sunset cruise or a walk along the beach in search of dolphins.
Day 8 Exmouth – Karratha This morning you head for the famous Pilbara region. Known for its rich cultural heritage, red earth and vast mineral deposits, this region offers diverse and fascinating scenery.
Day 9 Karratha – Karijini National Park – Tom Price Billions of years have shaped the geological wonders of Karijini: impressive red cliffs and peaceful gorges, surrounded by tall eucalyptus trees and dotted with giant termite mounds. You are accompanied by a guide who knows all the secret corners and the perfect waterholes for a swim.
Day 10 Tom Price – Port Hedland At first sight of the Pilbara, you might think you had been transported to Mars. The soil is a brilliant red, the sky rarely so vast and the rock formations more dramatic than ever. The population is sparse until you reach Port Hedland.
Day 11 Port Hedland – Broome Skirting the Great Sandy Desert, the view this morning is endless, the sand gradually giving way to mountain ranges before you arrive in Broome, a multicultural town full of surprises, known for its pearls and its sunsets.
Day 12 Broome Today, enjoy a free day to explore this tropical haven. Browse the pearl shops and stroll along Cable Beach. Soak up the vibrant atmosphere of Chinatown. For the more adventurous, choose an optional excursion such as a visit to a pearl farm, or set off to discover the natural landscapes. Ask your guide about a scenic flight.
Day 13 Broome Your adventure on the coast of Western Australia ends today.
