Print ITINERARY

Day 1 Cape Town (approx. 20 km) On arrival at Cape Town airport, collect your hire car (not included) and drive into the city. Overnight at Sunsquare City Bowl (Standard), Kensington Place (Superior) or similar.

Days 2–3 Cape Town Take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, discover the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront or make an excursion to the Cape of Good Hope. Overnight at Sunsquare City Bowl (Standard), Kensington Place (Superior) or similar.

Day 4 Winelands (approx. 55 km) Along the magnificent Wine Route, you can taste excellent wines at various wine estates. Overnight at Mont d'Or Franschhoek (Standard), La Fontaine Guest House (Superior) or similar.

Days 5–6 Hermanus (approx. 105 km) Hermanus is a seaside resort on the beaches of Walker Bay. From July to November, mother whales and their calves frolic in the bay. Overnight at Abalone Guesthouse (Standard), The Marine (Superior) or similar.

Day 7 Oudtshoorn (approx. 360 km) In Oudtshoorn, visit one of the many ostrich farms or marvel at the limestone caves of the ‘Cango Caves’. Overnight at De Zeekoe (Standard), Surval Boutique Hotel (Superior) or similar.

Days 8–9 Garden Route (approx. 120 km) Knysna and Plettenberg Bay lie along the famous Garden Route and are ideal for discovering the many attractions of the coast. Overnight at Knysna Hollow Country Estate (Standard), Turbine Boutique Hotel (Superior) or similar.

Day 10 Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) (approx. 270 km) On the way to Gqeberha, you pass through the indigenous forests of Tsitsikamma. Overnight at No. 5 Boutique Art Hotel (Standard & Superior) or similar.

Day 11 Durban (approx. 20 km) Return of your hire car. Flight to Durban. Collection of a new vehicle in Durban. Overnight at Aha Gateway Hotel (Standard), Canelands Beach Club (Superior) or similar.

Days 12–13 Hluhluwe (approx. 270 km) In Hluhluwe National Park, you have the opportunity to take part in spectacular safaris. Overnight at Leopard Mountain Lodge (Standard), Thanda Tented Camp (Superior) or similar.

Day 14 Eswatini (approx. 290 km) Early departure this morning for Eswatini (formerly Swaziland). This independent kingdom charms visitors with its tea and pineapple plantations. Overnight at Mogi Boutique Hotel (Standard & Superior) or similar.

Days 15–17 Private reserve (approx. 320 km) Over the next few days, keep your eyes open for the ‘Big Five’. Overnight at Makalali Main Lodge (Standard), Lion Sands River Lodge (Superior) or similar.

Day 18 Hazyview (approx. 150 km) Along the Panorama Route you can discover the Blyde River Canyon, the Mac Mac Falls and Bourke's Luck Potholes, among other sights. Overnight at Perry's Bridge Hollow (Standard), Summerfields Rose Retreat & Spa (Superior) or similar.

Day 19 Johannesburg (approx. 390 km) You drive to Johannesburg, where you return your hire car at the airport. End of the trip or individual extension.
