Days 1 - 2 Victoria Falls Arrive independently in Victoria Falls and transfer to your accommodation on the banks of the Zambezi. Victoria Falls River Lodge is the first private lodge to open directly within Zambezi National Park, and it enjoys a beautiful riverside setting in the midst of nature. The Victoria Falls are not far from the lodge, and you can even see their spray in the distance. The lodge is ideal for travellers who want to see the falls without having to forgo peace and relaxation. The open main building has a lounge overlooking the river, from where you can often watch elephants. The shared pool or the small private pools on the rooms’ terraces offer a pleasant way to cool off. The lodge’s spa offers a range of relaxing treatments. In addition to game drives in Zambezi National Park, sunset boat trips on the river of the same name are also organised. The famous Victoria Falls are around 25 minutes away. Overnight at Victoria Falls River Lodge or similar.
Days 3 - 5
Days 6 - 8 Hwange National Park Today the adventure really begins, with a light-aircraft flight from Victoria Falls Airport. You will discover Hwange National Park in the west of the country, on the border with Botswana. Covering an area of 15,000 km2, it is one of the largest national parks in Africa. The area is characterised by savannah with scattered woodland, especially in the east, where more rain falls. In the west and south the park is very dry, and Kalahari vegetation predominates. Hwange National Park is home to over 100 species of mammal and around 400 different bird species. The park is particularly famous for its large numbers of elephants and buffalo. Naturally, other species such as giraffes, zebras, waterbuck, lions, cheetahs and leopards can also be found here. Your accommodation, Linkwasha Camp, lies in a private concession within Hwange National Park. Thanks to its excellent location near the Ngamo Plains, game viewing is very good all year round. The camp is one of the most luxurious in the national park and impresses with a blend of modern and authentic interior design. The spacious main building with its lovely pool invites you to relax between safari activities. From the lodge you can enjoy fantastic views over the endless landscape. Sit back and enjoy an aperitif on the veranda while watching the animals at the waterhole. Over the next few days you will take part in various activities, such as game drives in an off-road vehicle in the private concession or walking safaris with experienced guides. For those who would like to learn more about the local way of life and visit a school, excursions to a village near the national park are also organised. Overnight at Linkwasha Camp or similar.
