Day 2 Port Arthur This day is all about the Tasman Peninsula and Port Arthur. First you take a boat trip along the rugged coastline where, with a little luck, you will see dolphins, seals, seabirds and, depending on the season, even whales. The afternoon is devoted to the Port Arthur Historic Site, which served as a penal settlement after the discovery of Australia.
Day 3 Hobart – Lake Augusta Today you visit the highlights of Hobart and its surroundings. From Mount Wellington you enjoy a magnificent view over the city and Hobart’s harbour. The sightseeing then continues at the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA). Today’s destination is the beautiful Thousand Lakes Lodge near Lake Augusta, surrounded by glorious nature.
Day 4 Hobart – Cradle Mountain NP One of the highlights of your Tasmania trip is sure to be the Wildlife Sanctuary, where you get to see the famous Tasmanian devils. After your visit to the sanctuary, you continue your journey to Cradle Mountain, whose imposing peaks can be seen from afar.
