Day 1 Noosa - Fraser Island You leave Noosa by road for Tin Can Bay, where with a little luck you will see dolphins frolicking in the bay. The journey continues to Rainbow Beach, where a coffee break is planned. A ferry then takes you from the mainland across to Fraser Island. On arrival you visit Pile Valley and the rainforest at Central Station. Your guide also takes you on a short walk to introduce you to the area’s fascinating flora and fauna. Next it’s on to Lake McKenzie, where there is time for a refreshing swim. This freshwater lake is famous for its crystal-clear water and almost snow-white sand. Lunch is also served here. Afterwards there is a little more time for exploring before you drive to your accommodation in Happy Valley. Dinner together at the lodge.
Day 2 Fraser Island - Noosa After breakfast, the day begins with a visit to Eli Creek, a freshwater stream that flows straight into the sea. You reach Eli Creek along a long sandy beach, where you can go for a swim. The tour then continues to the historic site of the Maheno shipwreck on the beach, where lunch is planned. Depending on the season, and with a little luck, you can watch whales from the beach. You also have the chance to take a scenic flight over the island (optional and at your own expense). The tour continues to the Pinnacles and to Indian Head in the north, where dingoes can sometimes be spotted. You drive back along the beach to the southern tip of the island and take the ferry to Rainbow Beach before being transferred to Noosa.
