Great Ocean Road

Day 1 Melbourne – Apollo Bay (approx. 200 km) Pick up your hire car and drive via Geelong to the coast, where you can watch daring surfers. You then continue along the beautiful, winding Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay.

Day 2 Apollo Bay – Port Campbell (approx. 100 km) Today you cross the Great Otway National Park, home to numerous koalas, and reach the highlight of your trip: the ‘Twelve Apostles’ rock formation.

Day 3 Port Campbell - Port Fairy (approx. 110 km) A varied drive past London Bridge and The Grotto. Stop at Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve, a paradise for animal lovers.

Day 4 Port Fairy - Robe (approx. 285 km) Today’s stage takes you across the border into South Australia and on to the small town of Robe. Stop in Mount Gambier to marvel at the sapphire-blue Blue Lake and the Umpherston Sinkhole, a true Garden of Eden.

Day 5 Robe – Adelaide Hills (approx. 325 km) Today you drive along Coorong National Park and through the Murray River region to the Adelaide Hills.

Day 6 Adelaide Hills – Adelaide (approx. 30 km) Spend the morning enjoying the Adelaide Hills. Later you drive to Adelaide, where you return your hire car.
