Namibia Classic 13 Days

Day 1 Kalahari region (260 km) Morning welcome in Windhoek and drive south to the red dunes of the Kalahari. Overnight stay at the Intu Africa Zebra Lodge (Gold) or the Intu Africa Camelthorn Lodge (Bronze) or similar.

Day 2 Fish River Canyon (440 km) Continue south towards Keetmanshoop and visit the impressive Quiver Tree Forest. You have the option of joining a sunset drive (at extra cost). Overnight stay at the Canyon Lodge (G) or the Canyon Village (B) or similar.

Day 3 Lüderitz (420 km) Today you discover the Fish River Canyon, the second-largest canyon in the world, with its magnificent views. You then continue your journey towards the coast. Lüderitz lies on the Atlantic coast, close to the restricted diamond area. City tour and visit to the Diaz Cross. Overnight stay at the Nest Hotel in a superior room (G) or a standard room (B) or similar.

Day 4 Namib Desert (470 km) After breakfast the journey takes you across the vast expanses of the southern Namib Desert to the Sossusvlei region, where the highest dunes in the world rise from a veritable sea of sand. Overnight stay at the Sossusvlei Lodge (G) or the Elegant Desert Lodge (B) or similar.

Day 5 Sesriem and Sossusvlei (260 km) Early in the morning you drive to the highest dunes in the world, those of Sossusvlei. The landscapes and colours of this region will stay with you for a long time! Afterwards, visit Sesriem Canyon. Overnight stay at the Sossusvlei Lodge (G) or the Elegant Desert Lodge (B) or similar.

Day 6 Swakopmund (350 km) The journey continues through the picturesque Kuiseb and Gaub canyons to Swakopmund, a small seaside resort on the Atlantic that has retained its German colonial character. The afternoon is at leisure. Overnight stay at the Strand Hotel (G) or the Swakopmund Plaza / Beach Hotel (B) or similar.

Day 7 Swakopmund (80 km) This morning you have the option of joining a boat trip on which you can watch seals, pelicans and dolphins. Excellent Namibian oysters and sparkling wine are served during the excursion. Overnight stay at the Strand Hotel (G) or similar.

Day 8 Damaraland (520 km) Today’s stage takes you into the heart of Damaraland. On the way you visit the rock engravings of Twyfelfontein and the Petrified Forest, and see Burnt Mountain. A visit to a village open to tourists gives you an insight into local traditions. Overnight stay at the Vingerklip Lodge or similar.

Day 9 Etosha National Park (220 km) After breakfast, drive towards Etosha National Park. In the afternoon you set off on a safari in the park with your guide aboard the bus. Overnight stay at Etosha Village or similar.

Days 10 - 11 Etosha National Park (300 km) Today you cross Etosha National Park along the famous Etosha Pan, a vast salt pan that shapes the region, and reach the east of the park. You also spend the second day on safari in the park (in the tour vehicle) to discover its impressive wildlife. Overnight stay at the Onguma Private Game Reserve or similar.

Day 12 Windhoek (540 km) After breakfast, return to Windhoek. End of the tour or individual extension.
