Selinda Adventure Trail

Days 1 - 3 Duba Plains (Okavango Delta) On arrival in Maun you will be met and taken to your light aircraft. Climb aboard and enjoy the glorious scenery as far as the eye can see! You spend the first three nights at Duba Plains, a 30,000-hectare private game reserve in the northern part of the Okavango Delta. Your days are devoted to game drives in an open safari vehicle, on which you discover the remarkable wildlife of the area. Overnight at Duba Plains or similar.

Day 4 Selinda Adventure Trail From the airstrip at Selinda, a helicopter takes you to a remote area where your walking and canoeing adventure begins. After a detailed briefing, you take your first paddle strokes downstream from the camp before enjoying a beautiful sunset. The team sets up camp with comfortable, practical two-person tents. In the evening the cook prepares dinner over the campfire, and you will be amazed at how delicious simply prepared food can be. Overnight in a tented camp.

Day 5 Selinda Adventure Trail After an early wake-up call, your canoe trip heads south. Along the way you might watch a herd of elephants quenching their thirst at the river, and take in the varied scenery and countless bird species. Thanks to the leisurely pace on the water, you discover many fascinating details. In the evening you reach your camp. Overnight in a tented camp.

Day 6 Selinda Adventure Trail After a good breakfast, your day begins with a walking safari. It takes you to various islands that can only be explored on foot and that constantly change shape depending on the water level in the delta. Along the way you are sure to encounter antelope, elephants or buffalo. Either way, you will be captivated by the beauty of this pristine wilderness. Refreshing breaks punctuate the day. In the late afternoon you reach camp. You spend the evening around the campfire, reliving the exciting experiences of the day. Overnight in a tented camp.

Days 7 - 8 Selinda Adventure Trail You rise at dawn to start your day of canoeing in the coolest hours. The region you paddle through is known for its abundant wildlife. The silence here is unique and incredibly relaxing. The day – and this extraordinary canoe adventure – ends with a delicious meal around the campfire beneath a sparkling starry sky. Overnight in a tented camp.

Day 9 Maun After a final game drive and a hearty breakfast at the lodge, your trip ends with the flight back to Maun. End of the tour or individual extension.
