Days 1 - 2 Victoria Falls Make your own way to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe). At the airport you will be met by our local representative and then taken by private vehicle to your accommodation. Victoria Falls River Lodge is one of the finest addresses in the region and was built in a very authentic African style. The peaceful property overlooking the Zambezi National Park is ideal for unwinding. Use your free time for a massage in the spa or enjoy a sundowner on the terrace overlooking the river, where the animals come to drink. The hotel is around 25 min. from the spectacular Victoria Falls. Here the Zambezi plunges over a width of almost 1,700 metres into a gorge 110 metres deep, and the spray can rise up to 400 m into the air. In the rainy season, around 10 million litres of water per second cascade into the depths – a natural spectacle on a scale you will rarely experience. Over the next two days, numerous activities are on offer for you to discover the region. Among other things, you can join a guided tour of the falls, take a boat trip on the Zambezi or go on a game drive at sunset (at extra cost). Overnight at Victoria Falls River Lodge or similar.

Days 3 - 4 Linyanti After a hearty breakfast at Victoria Falls River Lodge, you will be taken by private vehicle to Victoria Falls airport. From there you fly to neighbouring Botswana, where your safari begins. On arrival in Kasane you will be met by your pilot and given all the information you need for the rest of your trip. A light aircraft then takes you on to your first lodge in the heart of the wilderness. Zarafa Camp lies in the private Selinda Concession on the western edge of the magnificent Chobe National Park. Shaded by jackalberry and motsentsela trees, the camp overlooks the open plains and the banks of the lagoon. At Zarafa Camp you will be spoilt with culinary delights of the very highest standard. The camp’s main area is tastefully designed, with furnishings reminiscent of the safaris of the pioneering era. The comfortable, luxurious rooms leave nothing to be desired and offer every comfort. Enjoy a siesta on the spacious terrace with its small private pool. Keep your eyes peeled and your camera at the ready, as animals often come right up to the camp. Over the following days you will enjoy exciting day and night game drives in open safari vehicles, accompanied by certified rangers. Boat trips on the Selinda lagoon are also possible, and for active travellers short bush walks are offered near the camp. The region is known for its remarkable diversity of species. Days 5 - 6 Okavango Delta In the morning, a final game drive and a delicious breakfast await you before you fly on by light aircraft to the Okavango Delta. You will spend the next few days on safari in this idyllic region of lagoons, small islands and branching channels. As the largest inland delta in the world, the Okavango Delta forms a unique ecosystem. An incredible variety of animals lives in the swamps, along the channels and on the islands of the delta – a magical place whose remoteness stands in complete contrast to the world we know. Vumbura Plains lies in a private reserve north of Chief’s Island that is renowned for its abundant wildlife. Numerous activities are offered on site. Experienced rangers bring this fascinating natural world closer to you on game drives in open vehicles, boat trips, excursions by mokoro (traditional dugout canoe), walking safaris and birdwatching outings. Lions, leopards, cheetahs and wild dogs are frequently encountered in the area, and rhinos have even been successfully reintroduced to the region. In your free time, relax in your luxurious tent with its small private pool. Overnight at Vumbura Plains Camp or similar.

Days 7 - 8 Okavango Delta Enjoy one last sunrise at Vumbura Plains – this is when the animals are at their most active, so your safari is sure to be exciting this morning too. After breakfast, transfer by light aircraft to Chief’s Island. The scenic flight over the delta offers wonderful views and a whole new perspective on this magical region. With a little luck, you may spot herds of elephants or other animals from the air. You will spend the next two nights at Mombo Camp, one of the finest places to stay in all of Southern Africa. It lies in one of the most beautiful parts of the delta, bordering Chief’s Island. Surrounded by incredible nature, you will find yourself in a little paradise. The camp offers every comfort, and the attention to detail makes your stay unforgettable. Dinner is traditionally served in the boma beneath the magnificent African night sky. Your luxurious tent has an indoor and an outdoor shower as well as a cosy veranda with a small private pool, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view. From your private sala you can relax and watch a variety of animals. In the mornings and afternoons you will explore this exceptionally wildlife-rich region in an open safari vehicle. Experienced rangers accompany you and ensure varied and exciting game drives. Overnight at Mombo Camp or similar.

Day 9 Maun Your day begins with a final game drive, on which you can savour every moment once more. Back at the camp, a hearty breakfast is served. Afterwards you leave this glorious region by light aircraft, which takes you to Maun. End of the trip or individual extension.
