Cape Town Safari

Cape Town Safari

‘Our African Wonder’ – even at the lower cable car station, we already know that our visit to Table Mountain holds a wonderful experience in store for us.

The ‘all-round panorama’ offered by the cable car with its rotating floor is fascinating. On the swift ride to the top, our gaze can wander a little further across Cape Town, its surroundings and the Atlantic coast with every metre we climb. At the top, we step excitedly out of the cable car and walk a few paces across Table Mountain.

An impressive view of Cape Town and the landmarks of the area opens up before us. Signal Hill and Lion’s Head stand out in the most beautiful sunlight. Cape Town’s football stadium is visible too, so close you feel you could reach out and touch it. I could stand here for hours. I love the endless view over one of the most beautiful cities in the world and the deep blue ocean.

So we set out to explore Table Mountain a little more closely and take a short circular walk on the plateau at the top. On the other side, we see the almost white sandy beaches of chic Camps Bay, the setting sun reflected in the sea and the impressive cliffs that line the coast.

The view is fantastic, and I am convinced that this beautiful region still has many highlights in store for us.

One of these highlights is our accommodation, the ‘More Quarters Hotel’ in Cape Town. Thanks to its superb location just below Table Mountain, excursions into the city, to the V&A Waterfront, up Table Mountain or over to the other side towards Camps Bay are easy to arrange. Back at the hotel, it is wonderfully easy to relax: a freestanding bathtub and a bed that feels like sleeping on clouds invite you to unwind.

The warmth of the welcome we received at the hotel gives me a real ‘all-round feel-good feeling’. Sweet little treats left out for us in our apartment complete that ‘home from home’ feeling. A hotel I will gladly return to whenever I stay in Cape Town.
