Itinerary
West Coast Adventure

Day 1 Perth – Geraldton You meet the group in Perth at 8:30 before setting off towards Geraldton. Along the way you stop to admire the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park. You also discover the Leaning Trees of Greenough and Jurien Bay, where you might spot a sea lion or two. In Geraldton you take a city tour.
Day 2 Geraldton – Kalbarri National Park After breakfast, you set off for Northampton, one of the oldest towns in Western Australia. You discover historic buildings dating from the 1800s and meet the artists at a First Nations gallery. Then it's on to the aptly named Lake Pink at Hutt Lagoon, before marvelling at the wind-eroded sandstone formations of Nature's Window, the spectacular Z-Bend Gorge and the Kalbarri Skywalk in Kalbarri National Park.
Day 3 Kalbarri National Park – Monkey Mia Today is all about the ocean. Board a boat at Kalbarri Marina to learn about the local lobster industry. Next, head for another marine legend with a stop at Monkey Mia, a picturesque spot where the local dolphin population thrives. Stop at the Hamelin Pool Marine Nature Reserve to discover ‘living fossils’ and enjoy one of the magnificent viewpoints of Shark Bay. Relax at Monkey Mia or take a dip before a cultural experience offered by the Nhanda and Malgana peoples. It's your chance to try the didgeridoo or the traditional conch shell and to taste local food.
Day 4 Shark Bay & Monkey Mia After breakfast, you watch bottlenose dolphins with the experts from WA Parks & Wildlife. Learn a little more about these magnificent mammals, then enjoy some well-deserved relaxation on the beach, take photos or settle in at the bar and watch the wildlife go by. If you fancy it, a sunset cruise is available (at extra cost). If you are lucky, you may spot the mysterious sea cows, or ‘dugongs’.
Day 5 Monkey Mia – Carnarvon Today you head to the Carnarvon Space and Technology Centre for a quick photo stop. It was established to support NASA's Gemini, Apollo and Skylab programmes. You then visit the Gascoyne Aboriginal Heritage and Cultural Centre to learn more about the culture. Take a few photos at the Carnarvon Cactus Farm, one of the town's most unusual sights, before setting off on the Gascoyne Food Trail. This trail offers everything from bananas and avocados to beans, beef, ice cream and mangoes. Relax this evening – perhaps with a stroll along the beautiful waterfront to a local restaurant?
Day 6 Carnarvon – Exmouth Today you head to Coral Bay, home to Ningaloo Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest fringing reef in the world. You take a glass-bottom boat trip and go snorkelling to discover up to 250 species of coral and 500 species of fish. Further on, you visit Vlamingh Head Lighthouse with its breathtaking views before relaxing in Exmouth.
Day 7 Exmouth Day at leisure. Swim with the famous whale sharks, go whale watching, swim with manta rays or lace up your hiking boots – the choice is yours. You can book your optional activity when booking your tour or ask your guide to help you organise it once you are there. Please note: there is no public transport in Exmouth, so it is essential to plan your activities in advance!
Day 8 Exmouth All good things must come to an end. After breakfast it's time to say goodbye to your fellow travellers. End of your tour in Exmouth and individual extension.
